- A few hours after conception, a tiny heart begins beating. Abortion is murder in God’s eyes. Exodus 20:13; “Thou shalt not kill.”
- The main argument from abortionists is: When does life begin? If life has begun in the mother’s womb and the baby is aborted, then it is murder. Let’s look to the Creator, Almighty God, to see when life begins.
III. Life begins in the womb, not at birth:
- John the Baptist leaped in his mother’s womb (Luke 1:41).
- David said that the Lord was his God from his mother’s womb: Psalm (22:9&10).
- We are formed from the womb (Isaiah 44:2 and 24).
- God is actively involved before birth.
1. The unborn child is protected and his or her future ordained by God (Ex.21:22-25; Ps.139:13-16).
2. David said, “Before I was conceived in my mother’s womb, thou knoweth me.”
3. Jesus was named before He was conceived in his mothers womb (Luke 2:21).
4. Jeremiah 1:5; “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee, and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee.”
- Young women whom I have counseled who have aborted their babies because they became pregnant by accident or at the wrong time are devastated.
They carry the guilt of killing their baby and will live with that devastating guilt for many years, perhaps for the rest of their lives. How sad!
Pray about it. Think about it. Then pray about it some more. The choice is yours. Please make the right and Godly decision.
Psalm 23:4&5; “Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths. Lead me it thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.”

“And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubile unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family.” (Leviticus 25:10)
This verse is especially significant in American history as the verse from which the great exhortation was taken on the first Independence Day: “Proclaim liberty throughout the land to all the inhabitants thereof!” It has ever since been associated with the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, as Americans each year thank God for “the land of the free.”
The verse is also significant as containing the first mention of “liberty” in the Bible. In its biblical context, it established the “jubilee year,” when all those Israelites who had sold themselves into bondage were set at liberty. The founding fathers of our nation evidently believed there was a parallel between freedom from bondage to the king of England and freedom from bondage in ancient Israel.
But there is even a greater freedom than this. Jesus said, “Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. . . . If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed” (John 8:34, 36). “Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? . . . But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life” (Romans 6:16, 22).
There is always a danger that a free country will someday allow itself to be brought again into bondage, and also a danger that a believer will fall back into sin. To both, God would say, “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage” (Galatians 5:1). HMM

The Florida State Board of Education now requires the explicit teaching of evolution in public science classes, with a last minute addition of the phrase “the scientific theory of” in an apparent but failed effort to pacify its opponents. The 4 to 3 vote allows for the first time the word “evolution” in the school standards, though the concept of descent with modification over millions of years was already being taught under different wording.
The Orlando Sentinel reported on February 20, 2008 that, after months of controversy over the new standards, opponents of the decision plan to petition the state Legislature to pass protections for teachers who offer alternative origins explanations in the classroom.
The Associated Press reported that evolution supporters believe the academic freedom proposal is a “wedge designed to open the door for injecting religious arguments into science studies,” suggesting the irony that “academic freedom” is only available within a limited sphere of minority opinion.
According to a recent poll by the St. Petersburg Times, almost two thirds of 702 registered voters surveyed in Florida were unconvinced of evolution.
Of those two thirds, “|29| percent said evolution is one of several valid theories. Another 16 percent said evolution is not backed up by enough evidence. And 19 percent said evolution is not valid because it is at odds with the Bible,” the report stated.
It is this body of constituents that proponents of evolutionary theory apparently fear most and have tried to discredit by casting the debate as “science versus faith” and “scientists versus everyone else.”
“People are going to have to be carried kicking and screaming over the threshold |to accept evolution|,” Florida State University professor Michael Ruse told the Times. He likened the fight over evolution to the civil rights movement.
The Florida decision will most likely have rippling effects in school districts around the country.

After the tragedy of “non-parenting” evidenced in Littleton, many Parents are working hard to explain to their children and teens why some video games, music, movies, books, and magazines are not acceptable material for them to bring into the home, for their youth to see, or hear.
One parent came up with an original idea that was hard to refute. He listened to all the reasons his children gave for wanting to see a particular PG-13 movie. It had their favorite actors. Everyone else was seeing it. Even church members said it was great. It was only rated PG-13 because of the suggestion of sex. They never really showed it. The language was pretty good. They only used the Lord’s name in vain three times in the whole movie. The video effects were fabulous and the plot was action packed. Yes, there was the scene where a building and a bunch of people got blown up, but the violence was just the normal stuff. It wasn’t very bad.Even with all these explanations for the rating, the father wouldn’t give in. He didn’t even give them a satisfying explanation for saying, “No.” He just said, “No.”
It was a little bit later that evening, that this same father asked his teens if they would like some brownies he had prepared. He explained that he had taken the families favorite recipe and added something new. They asked what it was. He calmly replied that he had added a special ingredient – “dog poop”.
He stated that it was only a little bit. All the ingredients were gourmet quality. He had taken great care to bake it at the precise temperature for the exact time. He was sure the brownies would be superb. Even with all the explanations of the perfect attributes of the brownies, the teens would not take one.
He father acted surprised. There was only one little element that would have caused them to act so stubbornly. He assured them that they would hardly notice it if at all. They all held firm and would not try the brownies.
He then explained that the movie they wanted to see was just like the brownies. Sin enters our minds and our homes by deceiving us into believing that just a little bit of evil won’t matter. With the brownies, just a little bit makes all the difference between a great brownie and a totally unacceptable product.
He explained that even though the movie people would have us believe the movies which are coming out are acceptable for adults and youth’s to see they are not.
Now when this father’s youth want to do something or see something they should not, the father merely asks them if they would like some of his special brownies . . . and they never ask about that activity again.
